The ice front arrives in Serbia; Snow will cover Belgrade PHOTO
Clouding and cooling with rain early in the morning will affect the northern parts of Serbia by the end of the day, and with the drop in temperature, the rain will change to sleet and snow.
This phenomenon will first affect the west of Vojvodina and the west of Serbia, and from the middle of the day gradually other regions, mainly south of the Sava and Danube, with the formation or increase in the height of the snow cover.
In the north, a moderate northwesterly wind will blow, weakening at the end of the day, and weak and moderate in other areas, and strong southwesterly in the mountains, until the end of the day turning to the northwest, announced the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute (RHMZ).
The lowest temperature will be from -5 to 6 degrees, and the highest from 3 to 11 degrees.
A gradual cessation of precipitation is expected in the afternoon in the north, and in the evening and during the night and in most other regions.
In Belgrade, it will be cloudy with rain, which will change to sleet and snow in the afternoon with the formation of a smaller snow cover, and the precipitation is expected to stop in the evening.
The wind will be weak and moderate, west and northwest. The morning temperature will be around six degrees, during the day it will drop, and in the afternoon around 1 degree.
Meteorologist Ivan Ristić said that a cold Arctic front is approaching, which will cause clouds with rain today, which will quickly change to sleet and snow due to the drop in temperature.
As for the weather forecast in Serbia for the next seven days, until January 10, on Saturday it is expected to be moderately to completely cloudy, dry and cold, during the day with sunny intervals, only in the south in the morning some light blowing snow.
On Sunday, there will be moderate and strong morning frost, during the day it will be mostly sunny, in some places with low to moderate cloudiness.
The next week will see an increase in both morning and daytime temperatures, and occasional clouds are expected from Tuesday, with rain in places, while snow will fall only on high mountains.
