After Ristovski, Lidija Vukićević leaves UDUS! "The masks have been removed, these aren't Serbia's interests"
Actress Lidija Vukićević spoke out after she was asked to support student protests.
Namely, the Association of Film Actors of Serbia almost forced its members to support the protests, however, Lidija did not want to do anything that was not in the interest of Serbia.
That's why she informed everyone that she wants to withdraw from the membership of the aforementioned association.
We transmit her notice in full:
"Dear colleagues, The Association of Film Actors of Serbia in a statement for the public from Decembar 17, gives almost binding instructions on how to support student demands.
Let's be clear, students are a youth that is rebellious and special in itself, so I exclude them from our film story. What is this about us actors? Our mouths are full of democracy, freedom of thought and expression, and now some binding instructions are being issued and it implies consent. For whom, for whose interests?
Dear colleagues, we know that interest speaks all languages and plays all roles, even the role of disinterested. The masks have been removed, things are clear that these are not Serbia's interests but those of others.
In such circumstances, I will always choose the interest of Serbia, which President Vučić has raised to unprecedented proportions. My interest, then, is crystal clear, and yours will show in the weeks ahead.
In such circumstances, I resign from the membership of this association, determined to fight for Serbia, its neutrality and freedom," announced Lidija Vukićević.
Let's remind you, before Lidija, Lazar Ristovski also left UDUS, and you can read more about it on our portal.
