Belgrade Security Service is founded; Software for detecting weapons around schools to be designed

He also announced the establishment of the Belgrade Security Service, which will patrol around schools and kindergartens during the day, and in the neighborhoods in the evening.

As for security, Aleksandar Šapić announced:

• cameras in the yards of all kindergartens and elementary schools;
• software for detecting weapons and hard objects;
• central video surveillance;
• supervision of kindergartens and schools from communal security stations;
• establishment of the Belgrade Security Service.

As Šapić said at the press conference, such cameras will first be given to schools, and then to kindergartens in Belgrade.

"We will install dozens of cameras. It is central video surveillance. The surveillance of schools and kindergartens will be connected to the communal security station," said the mayor of Belgrade.
