One thing scares the locals; This is what the terrain looks like where little Danka disappeared PHOTO
Danka Ilić (2) disappeared yesterday around 1 p.m. in Banjsko Polje near Bor, and there are police, firefighters, rescuers from the Mountain Service and many locals who joined in the search for her.
As Telegraf.rs writes, the family house of the Ilić family is located at the very end of the village, and right behind it is a very inaccessible terrain surrounded by forests and slopes.
Locals explain that there are also holes in the vicinity of the house, which are also being checked.
There are also streams nearby, and the locals fear that the girl may have fallen into the water.
As you can see on the Google map, it is a place surrounded by hills, slopes and forest areas.
The search is further complicated by the weather conditions, as well as the rain that was falling all night.
"It's freezing, it's been raining heavily since one o'clock after midnight," reports Telegraf.rs.
The mayor of Bor, Aleksandar Milikić, said that more than 350 people participated in the search for the girl during the first day.
"It is a suburban settlement with very difficult terrain. There are forests and streams. At the very end of that place, the disappearance of our little fellow citizen happened," said Milikić.
The locals are very scared and upset. They don't remember that something like this happened in their vicinity.
"There are several holes around Ilić's house. There are a lot of holes here that are between one and two meters deep. Those holes were filled with underground water. They are currently checking with poles whether the girl might have fallen into one of them. For now, we found nothing," one of the neighbors told the Telegraph last night.
Helicopters and thermal imaging cameras are searching for little Danka, and additional forces of the gendarmerie, as well as more than 350 people, have been involved.
Police Minister Bratislav Gašić also arrived on the field.
