Weather change before the holidays: Nobody expects this MAP

Most of next week should be relatively warm with maximum daily temperatures locally as high as 14-15 degrees.

Warmer and brighter on Friday

Čubrilo states in the forecast that on Thursday it will be mostly cloudy and gloomy, but mostly dry, only in some areas in the lower areas there will be light drizzle, while over 600 meters above sea level, blowing snow is possible.

"Friday brings more cheerfulness, and in the morning there would be light frost in some places, mostly up to -6 degrees Celsius, which is expected in some valleys of Serbia, in the north of Montenegro and central Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the day, it will be changeable cloudy with sunny intervals and several degrees warmer compared to Thursday," Čubrilo announced.

From Saturday to Monday cloudy, gloomy and with precipitation

On Saturday, after a cold and sometimes frosty morning, new cloud cover is expected in the afternoon, which will bring rain to lower areas, and sleet and snow to areas above 800 meters above sea level.

The next two days, on Sunday and Monday, will be moderately to significantly cloudy with occasional precipitation. In areas below 800 meters above sea level, there will mostly be showers of rain, and above that height, sleet and snow.

The wind will be moderate to strong, first southwest and then northwest on Saturday. Saturday brings maximum temperatures similar to Friday's maximums, and Sunday will be slightly warmer with more sunshine over much of the region.

The thaw begins on Tuesday

Next week will start with lower temperatures, and then there will be a new twist in the atmosphere that brings a thaw, which no one expected now, about two weeks before New Year's Eve.

"It will be a bit colder again on Monday, when there should be light rain in the north of the region. From Tuesday until around December 21, it will be relatively warm with the occasional occurrence of morning fog. Daily maximum air temperatures will be from 5 to 12, and locally and around 14 degrees Celsius," says Marko Čubrillo.

Cooling is expected after December 21 and it could mark the last decade of the month.

Whether this means that we will enter the New Year holidays with real winter values ​​and snow cover still remains to be seen, but according to many meteorological forecasts, the New Year could pass with lower temperatures, sleet and snow in the lower parts of the country.
