B92.net in the Special Court: Verdict for massacre; Uroš Blažić brought in earlier; Families await decision
Today, the High Court in Smederevo will pronounce the first-instance verdict against Uroš Blažić, accused of killing nine and injuring 12 people on May 4, 2023, in the villages of Malo Orašje and Dubona, and B92.net attends it in the Special Court in Belgrade.
His father, Radiša Blažić, is also on trial today because of the suspicion that he acquired the weapon with which his son committed the crime, which was found in the family's home.

Uroš Blažić was brought under heavy police escort to the building of the Special Court in Belgrade, where today the High Court in Smederevo should pronounce his first-instance verdict for the mass murder he committed last year in the villages of Malo Orašje and Dubona.
In addition to Uroš Blažić, his father Radiša Blažić was also brought to the court for the sentencing.
Two police escorts arrived at the Special Court, and the father and son were brought into the court building through the custody entrance.
Today, they will sit in the box for the accused, separated by bulletproof glass from the courtroom, but also from the audience where the families of the murdered are sitting, for security reasons, according to Telegraf.
Maximum sentence - 20 years
The chief prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Smederevo, Ivan Konatar, in his final words proposed to the court to sentence Blažić to the maximum prison terms of 20 years.
Although Uroš Blažić has been charged with several crimes, including aggravated murder, he can be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in prison, given that he was under 21 years of age at the time of the crime and is a minor under the law.
