Killer boy to be re-examined today? Insane demands of Kecmanović couple
The trial of Vladimir and Miljana Kecmanović, the parents of the boy-murderer who killed nine peers and a security guard at "Vladislav Ribnikar" elementary school on May 3 last year, should continue today.
According to unofficial information, written evidence should be read at today's hearing.
"It is expected that today the judge will announce the decision on the proposal of the defense attorneys of the accused Vladimir and Miljana Kecmanović that the juvenile killer be re-examined from the clinic, where he has been staying since the crime, in the court, regarding the circumstances of the allegations of the indictment that was extended against his parents," said the Kurir source, who reminded that the expansion of the indictment followed after the boy-murderer testified in the Special Court when he left the hospital where he was staying for the first time since May 3, 2023.
The juvenile murderer then said that "the mother constantly asked him to be the best, she got angry when he wasn't, and if it weren't for his father's guns, he wouldn't have committed the crime."
At the last hearing, held on November 20, the parents of the killer boy pleaded guilty, accusing them, according to the indictment, of abandoning and neglecting their son, who committed a gruesome crime.
On that occasion, the Kecmanovićs denied that they neglected their son, which was extremely difficult for the parents of the murdered children who listened to Kecmanović's defense.
"Vladimir Kecmanović said that they were ideal parents, that they socialized, studied and talked with their son, which was extremely difficult for the parents of the victims to listen to. Kecmanović also stated that he took his son to numerous activities and tried in every way to 'wash away' from the accusations", reminded the Kurir source and then added that the defense of Miljana Kecmanović, who also tried to present her husband and herself as perfect parents, sounded the same way.
Today, at the beginning of the trial, a decision should be made as to whether the defense's proposal to rehear the juvenile murderer will be accepted, despite the fact that the High Public Prosecutor's Office opposed that proposal even then.
Last time, let's remind you, during the presentation of the defense, Vladimir Kecmanović also referred to his son's testimony before the court when, according to unofficial information, he said that "he would not have committed a gruesome crime if his father had not taught him to shoot and if he had not had weapons in the house."
"He must have been under medication when he spoke like that and he was slowed down," were the words of Vladimir Kecmanović.
The interlocutor of Kurir reminded that at that time Vladimir Kecmanović did not want to answer the questions of the chief public prosecutor Nenad Stefanović and two public prosecutors regarding the visits to the shooting range and the impact it had on the boy-murderer.
