The prosecution announced: Goran Vesić was remanded in custody
On the proposal of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad, Minister in resignation Goran Vesić was ordered to be detained for up to 30 days.
Detention was ordered for nine more arrested, while house arrest was ordered for Jelena Tanasković and Anita Dimoski.
"The judges for the preliminary proceedings of the High Court in Novi Sad, after the hearing, issued decisions by which, according to the suspects for the criminal offense of serious crime against general safety in connection with the criminal offense of causing general danger, due to public disturbance, custody was ordered against G.V. and N.Š. up to 30 days, and according to J.T. and A.D., the measure of banning them from leaving the apartment with the application of electronic surveillance for a period of 3 months," says the statement of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad.
"Suspect M.J. was ordered to be detained for up to 30 days for the criminal offense of serious crime against general safety in connection with the criminal offense of illegal and improper execution of construction works due to the fear that if he was released he could influence the witnesses and because of disturbing the public, and the suspects for the same criminal act S.N, LJ.M.M, M.S, D.J, D.T. and Z.S.M., were remanded in custody up to 30 days due to the existence of special circumstances that indicate that in a short period of time they could repeat the criminal offense for which they are suspected," the statement said.
"Against these decisions, an appeal to the non-trial chamber of the High Court in Novi Sad is allowed," reads the announcement of the High Court in Novi Sad.
