The killer boy received the status of injured party
Irina Borović, the defense attorney of Miljana and Vladimir Kecmanović, the parents of the boy who committed mass murder at the school, stated that the minor has the status of the injured party in the court proceedings against his parents as of today.
As it was said, the killer boy received the status of the injured party because his parents were charged with the criminal offense of neglecting and abusing a minor, to his detriment, which offense was charged against them in an expanded indictment.
Borović stated that Miljana Kecmanović and Vladimir Kecmanović presented a defense for that criminal act. Lawyer Miroslav Živković compared Vladimir Kecmanović and Radiša Blažić, the father of Uroš Blažić, who committed mass murder in the villages of Malo Orašje and Dubona, and stated that the two did not show empathy.
As reported by the Belgrade media, Vladimir Kecmanović denied that he had committed the crime of abuse and neglect of a minor child, for which he and his wife were accused by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
He refused to answer questions from prosecutors and lawyers.
The next trial is scheduled for December 9.
The Prosecutor's Office expanded the indictment charging Vladimir Kecmanović with the criminal offense of serious offense against general security, while the mother was charged with the criminal offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons.
Miljana Kecmanović arrived at the court, while her husband was escorted out of custody, where he has been since his arrest on May 3 last year.
The extended indictment followed the interrogation of the juvenile perpetrator of the murder, K. K.
In this case, the boy's parents, Vladimir and Miljana Kecmanović, and shooting range instructor Nemanja Marinković, who is accused of the criminal offense of giving a false statement, are on trial.
