Drama in the courtroom: Mother interrupted, reacted violently; "You threaten me"; Mass murderer apologized
The trial of Uroš Blažić for mass murder in the villages of Malo Orašje and Dubona has ended today in the Special Court in Belgrade. The next hearing is scheduled for November 25, when closing arguments will be presented.
Accused of mass murder, Uroš Blažić, admitted his guilt, while his father denied that he acquired the weapon used to commit the crime and the other weapons that were found in their house after the crime.
Uroš Blažić is accused of killing nine and wounding 12 people.
Uroš Blažić: "I would like to apologize for the last hearing"
Uroš Blažić was called to the courtroom to state whether he had changed his mind in this regard, as he said that he would not answer the questions of lawyer Nebojsa Perović.
He said that he wanted to answer Stefanović's questions about weapons.
"I would like to apologize for last time," said Blažić.
Blažić will be heard at the next hearing.
Motions for additional hearings denied
The judge noted that the prosecution corrected technical errors related to weapons and ammunition.
One of the representatives of the injured parties proposed to hear the commander of the unit that was passing through Dubona in military trucks after the mass murder.
The prosecutor objected to that proposal, as did Uroš Blažić's defense attorney.
Defense counsel Uroš Blažić's proposal to hear witnesses and defense counsel Radiša Blažić to obtain reports is also rejected.
Defense attorney Uroš Blažić's proposal for a new expert opinion by a toxicologist regarding the effect of steroids is also rejected, and the proposal of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Smederevo to punish witnesses from the Blažić family is also rejected.
The proposal for the testimony of the commander of the unit that passed through Dubona in military trucks after the mass murder was also rejected.
Chaos: A heated argument between the mother of the murdered and the judge
Panić said that she has no new evidence, but that she has the right to say what she noticed during the trial, and that she can comment on mistakes and point out the irregularities she saw during the trial.
The judge interrupted Zorica Panić and pointed out that the hearing was over because Panić had no new evidence.
After she interrupted her, there was a heated argument between the judge and Zorica Panić.
At one point, the judge asked Zorica if she was threatening her. The judge told the court guard to take Zorica Panić out, but she refused to leave, which is why the judge ordered a 10-minute break.
The Trial Chamber retired to decide on the motions.
