Trial was closed to the public, and media reported a little earlier that K.K. nevertheless agreed to testify
The killer boy K.K., who is testifying today in the Special Court in the trial against his parents, reportedly decided to testify from the podium.
K.K. was originally supposed to testify from a special booth, which would have separated him from everyone present in the courtroom, protected by glass through which he could see as long as he was not visible.
However, as the media reports, K.K., who killed nine children in "Ribnikar" on May 3, 2023, will testify on the podium, and that is what the prosecutor decided, the media reports.
Media: One sentence of the killer boy caused chaos
The Telegraph reports that K.K. uttered one sentence during his testimony that caused chaos at the trial. He cited the feeling of rejection from other children as the reason he committed the massacre, which caused "chaos" in the courtroom and the disbelief of the parents of the victims.
"I felt rejected by the other kids and that's why I killed them. That May 3rd, I brought a gun to do it, but still I wasn't sure I was going to shoot," he said, among other things.
Let's recall that the trial of Miljana and Vladimir Kecmanović, the parents of the boy who killed nine of his peers and a guard at Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School on May 3 last year, continued in the High Court building in Belgrade, also known as the Special Court.
Their son K. K. was brought to the court from the hospital, and since the trial has been going on for an hour, he is probably testifying as a witness, because he cannot answer criminally for his actions since May last year.
Although it was initially planned that he would testify from a separate room, Tanjug states that it was decided that he would speak from the lectern in the courtroom.
The media reported that K.K. decided to testify, and that 250 questions have been prepared for him, and questions can be asked by the injured party, the judge, the prosecutor, the accused and his lawyers.
K.K. also has the right to refuse to testify as a close relative of the defendants.
Two public prosecutors and the Chief Public Prosecutor in the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade Nenad Stefanović, who have been involved in this case since the beginning of the proceedings, should ask questions before the K.K. Prosecutor's Office.
