He will testify in the trial against his parents, Vladimir and Miljana Kecmanović, as well as the shooting instructor, Nemanja Marinković.

He will be brought in accompanied by a psychiatrist, and in the courtroom he will be placed in a glass compartment for protected witnesses.

The killer boy will be able to see everything, but no one will be able to see him. Those present in the courtroom will listen to his testimony through speakers, and they will potentially be able to watch him through monitors, although it is highly likely that the monitors will be able to be watched by the court panel and, eventually, the lawyers.

The psychiatrist will monitor his mental state and possibly ask for breaks. All this is not done to protect the parents of the victims, but the boy himself who committed the mass murder, given that he is 14 years old.

Due to legal regulations, the parents of the children who were killed in "Ribnikar" will thus be denied a direct view of the boy who committed the crime. It is not explicitly explained why the hearing where the minor will be heard is being held in the Special Court, given that certain courtrooms in the Palace of Justice have rooms for particularly sensitive witnesses.

The reason is probably security, because taking the boy to the Palace of Justice is risky, while in the Special Court the ambulance can enter the custody entrance from a completely different side compared to everyone else in the courtroom, thus ensuring additional security.

By the way, Kosta Kecmanović was already heard in the investigation as a witness, but at that time he did not leave the psychiatric clinic, but testified via a video link that the prosecution established with the hospital.

Besides the prosecutor and the psychologist, his mother Miljana Kecmanović was also sitting next to him. However, that is not possible now, considering that in the meantime it was discovered that her DNA was found on one of the bullet casings that was found in the classroom in "Ribnikar", and she, along with her husband, became the accused herself.

The minor will be able to use the right not to testify against his father and mother, given that he is their closest relative and he can make that decision even though he agreed to testify against his father during the investigation.

If he testifies, then he will be obliged to answer questions that may be asked by the court, the prosecutor, lawyers, defendants, as well as representatives of the families of the murdered children, as well as the parents of the children themselves.

The criminal proceedings against the parents and the testimony of the killer boy are closed to the public.
