Danka Ilić strangled? Details of the indictment

According to the indictment, D. D. suffocated the child in the trunk of the official car. It was stated that Danka was killed on March 26 at around 1:53 p.m. when two Waterworks workers were returning from work. The car was driven by S. J, while D. D. was in the passenger seat.

The girl was allegedly hit by a car and fell off the right side of the vehicle, against the rear right wheel, which D.D. noticed and told S.J. They then agreed to remove the child's body in order to avoid being arrested for the crime of felony traffic safety.

According to the indictment, D.D. was the one who got out of the car, picked up the child from the ground and put her in the trunk of the vehicle. When he saw that the girl was alive, he allegedly suffocated her with his hands.

S.J. was watching what D.D. was doing all the time and made sure that no one came across.

The defendants then allegedly agreed to leave the child's body at a wild dump on the Stara banja road to Bor. As the prosecution claims, when S.J. stopped the car, they left the child's body at the landfill.

Since the child's body is still missing, the indictment is based on witness statements and surveillance camera footage, which indicated that the two defendants were at the place where the girl was last seen.

The evidence of their movement is the GPS device of the official car, as well as footage from surveillance cameras. The defendants are charged with the crime of aggravated murder of a child, which is punishable by life imprisonment without parole.
