At 7:15 p.m., the RHMZ published a warning on its website saying that heavy cloud cover will affect Serbia during the night. Heavy rainfall is expected.

"The heavy cloud cover from the west that engulfed our country during the night will spread further to the east, causing occasional rain and short-term showers, and locally the amount of precipitation that can be greater than 20 l/m2 in 12 hours," says RHMZ.

The statement added: "The cloudiness will increase further tomorrow (September 10) and in the east and southeast of Serbia (especially in the Zaječar, Nišava, Pirot, Toplica, Jablanica and Pčinja districts, as well as in the area of ​​Kosovo and Metohija) will cause heavy rainfall until Wednesday (September 11.9.) before noon with an average amount of 30 to 60 l/m2 in 24 h, and in the southeast locally more than 100 l/m2 in 24 - 36 h."
