Meteorologists are again announcing hot days and tropical nights, but they hope this will also be the last wave of such heat this year, writes Blic.

RHMZ has already announced the intensification of the heat wave this week, when temperatures in Serbia will reach 40 degrees, and rain is possible only on Wednesday, in Zlatibor. There is no sign of cooling down.

The heat wave warning in Serbia is in effect for Belgrade.

Meteorologist Ivan Ristic announced that the highest daily exceeding 35 and that the center of hot African air will be over Serbia from Tuesday.

"Temperature anomalies show a positive difference of 10-12 degrees, which simply adding to the "normal" 30 degrees indicates that in most places the maximum temperature from Tuesday will be over 40. Find a way to adapt and cool down," warns Ristić.

"The warming of Europe has started, don't forget that the main surge of heat is still in the Balkans, where the center of the heat dome will be," he explains.

Ristic adds that this is probably the last heat wave for this year. However, even after "Lucifer" leaves us, there will be no more cooling.

"I think that this is the last stronger heat wave and that the calendar will slowly do its thing, the refreshment will arrive for the Transfiguration on August 19. There is no strong cooling, but it will be pleasant, some serious rain is also not in sight," explains the meteorologist on his Facebook account.

How long will this heat wave last?

The deputy director of the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute, Goran Mihajlović, states that this heat wave will last until Friday, August 16. The weekend will be more pleasant with temperatures lower by a few degrees.

As he says, we will continue to have tropical nights in big cities, while in most places in Serbia, by the end of the month, the temperature will be pleasant, and the nights will be colder.

"The first part of the week will be the warmest, but on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, temperatures will reach 32 to 35 degrees, which certainly cannot be said to be refreshing, but they will bring some relief. Compared to the warm wave we had in July, we could expect slightly lower morning temperatures," says Mihajlović.

Weather alarms are on

Today and tomorrow, a weather alarm will be activated in all of Serbia due to extreme heat.

Today, a dangerous warning will be in effect in most of Serbia, very dangerous warning will be issued for Pomoravlje, Eastern Serbia, and Southeast Serbia.

As on Tuesday, the alarm for very dangerous weather will be in effect in all of Serbia, except in the southwestern part, where the orange weather alarm has been activated.
