Many schools have coats of arms, some even unofficial anthems that are heard from the stands at sports competitions, but uniforms - almost none.

Pupils' clothing in schools is increasingly being imposed as one of the important social issues.

Although many schools and countries abandoned the practice of uniforms in the second half of the 20th century, everyone still remembers the blue aprons from the time of the former Yugoslavia.

Slavica Djukić Dejanović, Minister of Education, in a guest appearance on Tanjug TV, talking about the lack of teachers and freshmen on courses for the future staff, also referred to the reputation of schools, which, as she says, has been downgraded a lot.

As she assessed, the school as an institution has lost its reputation, which is why she believes that it should be considered that every school has its own anthem, coat of arms, uniform, and its own symbols so that the children who go to that school really love it.

Let's remind you that Milica Djurdjević Stamenkovski, the Minister for Family Care and Demography, recently brought up the issue of the return of uniforms to schools, believing that a dialogue should be opened about it, primarily at the level of primary schools.

"We don't want to impose anything on anyone, nor to make anyone uniform, but there should be order so that children feel order. Children function better under the order that is established, they grow up better, have better habits, have some rules that they follow. When you learn to respect certain rules, you behave much more responsibly in life," Djurdjević Stamenkovski explained her initiative.

For one and a half school years, the students of the younger grades of the "Nikola Tesla" elementary school in Vrčin wore uniforms, which were provided by the municipality. The experiences were good, and financial resources are the main reason why this practice was discontinued.
