Serbia, this is when the first refreshment arrives; And after that, total hell ensues

Serbia has been in the middle of a heat wave for several days now, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees, and judging by the meteorologists' announcements, we can expect showers and a drop in temperature only at the end of the week.

A red weather alert is in force throughout the country, which indicates very dangerous weather, and the fact that the heat wave has been going on for days and is becoming increasingly difficult to bear because of the heat creates a problem.

Ivan Ristić presented a detailed weather forecast for the coming days for Kurir television.

"The heat is the biggest problem right now, we feel it the most and it causes us the biggest problems. We are currently at the maximum of this African anticyclone, called Sharon, just like last year. This year we are not achieving any excessive records, the temperatures have not reached 43-44 degrees, but it lasts too long and it's very steamy," said Ristić, quoted by Kurir.

He pointed out that there will be no bad weather today, which is good news, but as we approach the end of the week, the chances of showers and thunderstorms increase.

"Most likely Friday or Saturday, then there will be conditions for bad weather throughout Serbia, with heavy showers followed by strong winds. You should follow the warnings and announcements of the State Hydrometeorological Institute," he added.

Ristić emphasized that temperatures will drop slightly at the end of the week, with an expected drop of around 5 degrees.

"We are currently at about 40 degrees, and a drop to 35 degrees will bring relief. Every degree now matters, so 35 will be easier to bear than 40," he said.

That trend of smaller temperature drops will continue during the next week, with expected temperatures around 30 degrees.

"It will be about 10 degrees colder than now, which will bring more pleasant weather, but there are still conditions for showers of rain, and in some places bad weather," explained Ristić, Kurir reports.

When it comes to the continuation of the summer, Ristić said that it is expected that the temperatures will slowly normalize at the end of July, but will still remain tropical, over 30 degrees.

"The beginning of August will be a bit fresher, with temperatures around 30 degrees, but during August we are expecting a new African anticyclone, a new heat wave, with temperatures around 40 degrees again," warned Ristić, reports Kurir.

"We have to get used to the new reality and slowly adapt to these temperatures and events," concluded Ristić.
