"Today is a particularly important day for us because our heroic member Miloš Jevremović left the hospital. Thank God, a vital blood vessel was not affected, the operation was successful and the most important thing for us is that we managed to save his life. Several persons were detained, who were suspected of belonging to the Wahhabi group. I want to thank and encourage the important role played by our member. When he was badly wounded, he was strong enough to eliminate the terrorist," Dacic said.

"President Aleksandar Vučić announced that he will honor Miloš and that will happen very soon. I want to thank the president and everyone who visited our Miloš in the hospital," Dacić added.

"We made the decision to cancel the red level of the threat of a terrorist act and to move to the yellow level, which is a moderate level. This implies increased attention and the presence of our members in some institutions where a large number of people are located," he added.

After Dačić, the wounded gendarme Miloš Jevremović spoke.

"I would like to thank my colleagues, family, minister and President Vučić for their support. I am fine, as you can see. Serbia should be proud of people like me. There are still many guys who work hard and who want Serbia to be safe," Jevremović said.

Ivica Dacic presented the attacked gendarme Miloš Jevremović with a plaque for exceptional courage and commitment to police work.
