Danka Ilić's parents will be heard today

"Suspects S.J. and D.D. were not re-examined as suspects in the Zaječar Prison. No proposal has yet been submitted to extend the detention of the suspects," says the Zaječar Prison, Blic writes.

D.D. and S.J., suspects in the murder of two-year-old Danka Ilić, will be referred for psychiatric examination at the Special Prison Hospital in Belgrade as soon as the conditions are met, i.e. as soon as it is no longer necessary for them to be present in the evidentiary proceedings that are currently being conducted.

According to the decision of the judge for the preliminary proceedings of the High Court in Zaječar, their detention will expire on May 3, and after that, a decision will be made on the possible extension of detention.

"The suspect R.D. will be heard again as a suspect, if he declares that he wants to give a statement, considering that during the first hearing he defended himself by remaining silent.

Currently, biological traces (DNA) examinations are being carried out, and psychiatric examinations of the suspects will be carried out as soon as the conditions for that are acquired", say VJT "Zaječar".

DD admitted that he strangled the girl after she was hit by a car and her body was moved from the landfill where it was originally left.

D. D., D. D.'s brother was also detained, but he died in prison. The police continue the search for the body of two-year-old Danka Ilić, and the bed of the Zlot river from the village of Zlot to Sumrakovac, as well as water tanks, have been searched.

Both of the suspects in the murder of little Danka were employees of the "Waterworks" company in Bor.

The inhabitants of the village of Zlot held a gathering in order to visit all properties with joint forces and report it to the law enforcement authorities if they notice anything suspicious. As the locals point out, they were brought together by grief and concern for everything that happened to little Danka Ilić.
