Director of Waterworks in Bor resigned due to Danka's murder

"For moral reasons, I am submitting my irrevocable resignation from the position of director of JKP 'Waterworks' Bor, considering that the suspects in the murder of a child are employees of this company and that there is a well-founded suspicion that they committed this heinous murder during working hours, using company's vehicle while performing their duties on a work assignment," he stated.

As he added, he will initiate criminal and all other legal proceedings against the suspects, as well as all other employees and responsible persons in the company who, through their omissions or inactions, contributed to the suspects remaining at large for 10 days.

"I note that JKP 'Waterworks' Bor and I personally disassociate myself in every aspect, both criminal and material, from the actions of the suspected workers," Pavić stated in his resignation.

On his own behalf and on behalf of the company, he expressed his condolences to the parents, family, family friends, citizens of Bor and the citizens of Serbia for the tragic death of little Danka Ilić.

The mayor of Bor, Aleksandar Milekić, said today at the press conference called on the occasion of the murder of Danka Ilić that the director of "Waterworks" in Bor resigned for moral reasons.

"The director resigned for moral reasons, because he cannot bear all this. And that is less important now. It is important that we all as a society at this moment realize that we may have distanced ourselves from each other, people from people and in such difficult situations, unfortunately, it ended badly for little Danka and for all of us," said Milekić.

He also announced three days of mourning, as he stated, when the time comes.
