The trial of the Croatian pilots for rocketing the refugee column during the operation "Storm" begins
The beginning of the trial of four officers of the Croatian Air Force, who are accused of firing rockets at refugee columns during the "Storm" operation, is scheduled for today at 10 a.m. in the War Crimes Department of the High Court in Belgrade.

As the newspaper Politika writes, the first main hearing should be held today, and the accused pilots will be tried in absentia, given that they have been unavailable to Serbian judicial authorities since the beginning of the investigation in 2021.
The accused are Croatian Air Force officers Vladimir Mikac (68) from Pula, Zdenko Radulj (70) from Zagreb, Željko Jelenić (69) from Pula and Danijel Borović (65) from Gornji Knjeginac near Varaždin, the paper writes.
The War Crimes Prosecution accuses the defendants of carrying out the order to fire rockets at columns of refugees from the Republic of Serbian Krajina on the Petrovac and Prijedor roads on August 7 and 8, 1995.
13 people were killed in the shelling of refugee columns, six of whom were children under the age of 13, while 24 people were wounded.
