"I have good news"; A doctor from KCS on the condition of those injured in the fire in Kočani
In the Emergency Center of the University Clinical Center of Serbia, 17 people injured in the fire at the night club in Kočani in North Macedonia are being treated, of whom two are on mechanical ventilation and two have undergone surgery.

Doctor Milan Stojičić, Director of the UKCS Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic, said that he has good news and added that they are in good general condition.
"The post-operative course is going well with them. In the course of the next week, another five or six patients will be operated on. I also have good news, it will probably be possible to transfer several patients to the ward because their respiratory function is recovering successfully, and the burn wounds are such that they do not require a stay in the intensive care unit," he told RTS.
He stated that in patients who have already been operated on, it involves removing devitalized tissue and covering it with autotransplantation, which means that their own skin is taken from other regions and transplanted onto the burned areas.
Speaking about whether they will need more interventions, he said that for one patient, an operation on the other arm is definitely planned in about five days, one arm has already been completed.
For those who will be operated on, he said that skin donors will not be needed, but they will be able to be their own donors, and the defects will be closed with autografts.
