Where exactly did Danka disappear? The police set up roadblocks; Montenegrin MIA made an urgent statement
The search continues for the missing Danka Ilić, who disappeared on Tuesday, March 26 in Banjsko Polje.
The Viennese police also joined the investigation into her disappearance, after a video from Vienna appeared showing two Romanian women with a girl who looks like Danka.
The Embassy of Serbia invites everyone who recognizes the missing girl in Austria to report it to the police. Interpol has announced an international manhunt.
The police check IDs of everyone passing by
In Banjsko Polje, where little Danka Ilić (2) disappeared seven days ago, the police are still watching everyone who enters the place. According to a Telegraf reporter from the scene, the traffic police are legitimizing people in Banjsko Polje itself.
The Ministry of Interior of Montenegro issued an appeal
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro appealed to the citizens that, if they have useful information about the missing Danka Ilić (2) from Serbia, to contact Interpol from Podgorica, according to Vijesti.
"The two-year-old girl has brown hair and brown eyes, is 85 cm tall, and at the time of her disappearance, she was wearing an olive green jacket, purple pants and black sneakers," says the Ministry of the Interior.
"We appeal to all citizens, if they have useful information related to the missing girl, to inform the NCB Interpol Podgorica office at phone number: 020/243-511, which is available 24/7," the MIA announced.
Did Danka went missing in the place that was reported?
Police Major in the Criminal Police Directorate, Bojana Otović Pjanović, who is in charge of the search for the two-year-old Danka Ilić, who was last seen on Tuesday in Banjsko polje near Bor, revealed to Kurir the direction of the investigation, after the publication of a video from Vienna.
Bojana Otović Pjanović also revealed whether the girl whose disappearance was reported by her mother really happened in the place where it was stated in the report.
Did the release of the video lead the police investigation to Vienna?
"Operational action was directed at the Austrian police after the delivery of a video of a child who is in the company of two women, a foreign citizen, noticed on the territory of that country in order to determine whether the video contains the missing child, Danka Ilić, based on specific features on the face and body. There is also a yellow warrant issued by Interpol in order to obtain information for the purpose of finding a child when there is a suspicion that he/she is outside the territory of Serbia", Bojana said.
How is it determined whether the reported place of disappearance is really the real place of disappearance?
"The procedure for determining whether the reported place of disappearance is really the right place is multiple. In this particular case, by taking operational tactical and technical measures, it was confirmed that the child was at the place the mother indicated in the report at the time of the disappearance," she told Kurir.
