The trial continues: Vladimir Kecmanović answers the questions of the injured parties
The trial of Vladimir Kecmanović and his wife Miljana Kecmanović should continue today in the High Court in Belgrade.
Kecmanović previously presented his defense and answered the questions of the court and the prosecution, while he announced that he would not answer the questions of the attorneys of the injured parties.
After him, his wife will present her defense, followed by the instructor and the owner of the shooting range where, as is suspected, the minor K.K. learned to shoot.
From the beginning of the trial, Kecmanović has denied guilt for the crime he is charged with, a serious crime against general security.
The parents of the murdered children will also be present in the courtroom of the High Court in Belgrade today, because the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has given up on questioning the parents of the murdered children, in order to allow them to be present at the trial when the accused present their defense and to be able to ask questions.
In this case, the court closed the trial to the public for reasons of protecting the interests of minor victims.
The boy's father was accused of committing a crime - a serious crime against general safety, because he took a 13-year-old child to a shooting range and taught him to shoot, as well as not adequately storing weapons in the house.
The boy K.K., who at the time of this crime was not yet 14 years old and therefore not criminally responsible, shot his schoolmates with two of his father's pistols that he took on May 1.
Then on the day of massacre, he put them in his backpack, went to school and in the course of the first lesson killed 10 people and injured five more children and a history teacher.
