Apocalypse in BiH: 20 people died; Shocking footage; Everything's destroyed PHOTO/VIDEO
A strong cyclone affected the region where Serbia is located. The most dramatic is in neighboring BiH, where, as the media reports, there are dead people. They were also affected by the earthquake. It is also emergency situation in Croatia and Montenegro.
As reported by the media in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the most difficult situation is in Jablanica, where at least five people died in floods and landslides.
Both rescuers and the army were sent to that place in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They were also hit by an earthquake early this morning.
Parts of Montenegro and Croatia are also under water, while Serbia is being hit by heavy downpours.
The situation is getting worse: Settlements without electricity, water and communication
Among the most threatened are the settlements of Trusina, Seonica and Sultići, which are located upstream from the Buturović field.
As Klix writes, referring to information from readers, the village of Seonica is the first to be hit, which cannot be reached at the moment due to flooded roads.
The situation is extremely difficult — the settlements were left without electricity, water and communication, and in several places the local road to the primary school in Seonica was also cut off.
The flood washed away several cars, bridges and households, and the area of Buturović field is one of the hardest hit in this region.
Traffic interrupted
Traffic is still interrupted on the roads leading from Jablanica to Mostar, Prozor and Blidinje.
On the section from Konjic to Jablanica, only emergency vehicles can currently drive, it was announced from BIHAMK.
Alternative directions are: Sarajevo-Novi Travnik-Rostovo-Bugojno-Kupres-Tomislavgrad-Posušje-Mostar or Sarajevo-Foča-Tjentište-Gacko-Mostar.
On the roads in the area of Kiseljak (towards Kreševo, Fojnica and Sarajevo) traffic is difficult, because there is still water and mud, but the road is passable.
Borrell: The EU will stand by Bosnia-Herzegovina because of the floods
High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, said today that the EU will stand by Bosnia-Herzegovina because of the floods that hit that country and that it will provide assistance.
Borrell wrote on the X platform that there are already victims and missing people in the "catastrophic floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina".
"The EU stands in solidarity with BiH and provides support in emergency situations. We are ready to help through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism," he wrote.
