The municipal court in Vukovar today sentenced five defendants to prison or suspended sentences for inflicting serious physical injuries on a group of minors in an attack that took place in the city center on January 6 this year.
As the media reported at the time, a group of hooligans attacked boys of Serbian nationality.
Three people were sentenced to prison terms, two of them to 40 months, and one to 24 months.
Two people were sentenced to suspended sentences, and the search is still on for the person who has been on the run since the first day, the parents of the attacked minors confirmed to journalists.
The attack took place in the evening when a group of older young men, members of the BBB fan group, attacked a group of minors and inflicted serious injuries on several of them, for which they were hospitalized in the Osijek KBC.
Seven days after the incident, a peaceful protest was held in Vukovar by the parents of the attacked children, as well as the citizens of Vukovar who condemned the act of violence and demanded severe punishment for the attackers.
