The Macedonian prosecutor revealed the terrible details of the tragedy: "The improvised door was locked with a padlock"
In the first hours of the investigation into the night club tragedy where 59 people died, dozens of oversights were found.
Republic Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kočevski mentioned some of them, emphasizing that "the oversights are really very big". Short-term detention will be requested for 10 people.
"A check by the public prosecutors, together with the inspectors of the State Security Service, found that the building did not have a hydrant network, nor a hydrant nearby, there were only two fire extinguishers, there was only one improvised metal door, which was locked with a padlock and without a handle on the inside, and covered with a sponge. There was no access for fire engines from two sides. There was no fire-resistant material on the walls, there were no fire-resistant doors, there was no brake system on the door, no there was a system with a loud sound signal to warn guests. Pyrotechnic devices were used illegally, and the State Urban Inspection was on the spot, after which it was determined that the building was not converted into a catering facility, but it has a use permit for a catering facility issued 15 years ago," said Kočevski.
"It was ordered to arrest every person who by their actions or inaction contributed to the incident and to investigate their role. An order was given for the analysis of the confiscated items. A proposal was submitted for an order on the temporary confiscation of video footage and documentation. A search warrant was issued. During the day, an on-site investigation was carried out by public prosecutors, which lasted until the evening hours and is still not finished. It will continue tomorrow. During the course of tomorrow, I will hire three to five public prosecutors from the Skopje Prosecutor's Office, because it is a complex case," said Kočevski.
Short-term detention will be requested for some of the persons who are currently in the police station.
The Serbian Army CASA C-295 plane with four doctors and four medical technicians flew to North Macedonia for the medical evacuation of those injured in the accident at the discotheque in Kočani, the Ministry of Defense of Serbia announced tonight.
Mickoski: The falsified night club license was signed by the former state secretary
Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said today that the former state secretary in the Ministry of Economy Razmena Čekić Djurović signed a forged license for the night club in Kočani where the fire broke out.
"Yes, it was issued by the Ministry of Economy, it was signed by the then Secretary of State Razmena Čekić Djurović. With the risk that all of this may cause procedural errors, but in the interest of the public, I am here to announce these details if you ask me," stressed Mickoski, answering a journalist's question.

The parents do not allow the bodies of the dead children to be taken to Skopje for an autopsy
The parents who lost their children in the fire at the "Puls" night club in Kočani do not allow the bodies of the victims to be taken to Skopje for an additional autopsy, demanding that they be handed over to them immediately in order to prepare the funerals, reports Plusinfo.
They spontaneously blocked the entrance to the hospital in Kočani and opposed the decision to transport the bodies of the victims in the tragic fire at the "Puls" night club to Skopje for forensic medicine.
"The whole world understood why they died and how they died. Why are we still sitting here? We don't give our children," said the parents, forming a human shield in front of the hospital entrance. In front of the hospital, the presence of the police has increased, and the Skopje prosecutor is explaining to the parents the legal procedure and the need for an additional autopsy.
In the meantime, several parents went to talk with the representatives of the competent institutions in order to find a common solution and agree on further procedures. Previously, the Minister of the Interior of North Macedonia, Panče Toškovski, said that an autopsy must be performed on each deceased person.
"There are deceased persons in several hospitals. After identification, they will be transferred to Skopje for an autopsy," he said.
Around 30 vehicles from funeral homes and ARM have already arrived at the General Hospital in Kočani, which are supposed to transport the bodies of the deceased to Skopje for autopsy. In the fire that broke out last night in the "Puls" night club, 59 people aged between 14 and 24, mostly residents of Kočani, lost their lives.
The youngest victim in the night club was 14 years old, the oldest 24 years old
The director of the Kočani hospital, Kristina Serafimova, said today that those who died in the fire at the "Puls" night club were from Skopje, Štip, Probištip and Kočani and that they were between 14 and 24 years old.
"We received 70 people, unfortunately, some died. The patients suffered burns and carbon monoxide poisoning. They were then transferred to the Clinical Hospital in Štip, and some of them were sent from there to Skopje," said Serafimova at a press conference, reports Plus info.
According to her, the first call came at 02.48, and the hospital was mobilized immediately. Health Minister Arben Taravari said that a total of 115 patients are currently hospitalized in Macedonian hospitals.
According to him, all patients are in a relatively stable condition, and some have been released for home treatment.
He stated that a total of 47 patients will be treated abroad, and that burn specialists from Israel, Belgrade and Prague will arrive in North Macedonia tomorrow, who will assist the local medical teams.
