Vučić spoke for the first time after Prime Minister Miloš Vučević submitted his irrevocable resignation.

"We fully fulfilled all the demands set by the students. We resolved some issues that even violate my principles, concerning pardons from criminal prosecution. The night at Autokomanda passed peacefully, without major problems, the police protected everyone. We were very satisfied with what we achieved," Vučić began.

He added that they cannot accept that after calling for peace, some people violated it.

"We clearly said that we are always ready to talk, until this happened in Novi Sad. The opposition scored a big political own goal with the rally at Autokomanda," he added.

The deadline for the new Government is 30 days from the confirmation of the resignation

"Miloš Vučević, as president of SNS, understood that this type of objective responsibility must exist for an incident of an incomparably smaller scale than what I was talking about," said Vučić.

Vucevic's move will go down in the annals of responsible and serious people, he adds.

"He showed that the position is not more important to him than the principles and he acted like that," says Vučić.

"The prime minister’s resignation must be confirmed by Parliament. Once confirmed, there is a 30-day deadline to elect a new government. If one is not elected by then, elections will be called. It is the president’s obligation to launch the process of forming a new government. I will not avoid consultations, although I know I will only receive insults. We need to discuss whether we should move forward with forming a new government or hold elections. Outgoing Prime Minister Vucevic has already launched talks with Socialist Party of Serbia leader Ivica Dacic, who said he is not in favor of elections. We will continue talks with others", Vucic said.

"As for me, I am in favor of both options. Dacic said in front of everyone that he is not in favor of elections, but of forming a new government. The most important discussions will be within SNS," he said.

Vučić added that some support violence and carry it out every day.

"A decision on whether to hold new elections or form a new government will be made within 10 days, We do not have any candidates," he said.

Vučić emphasized that he wishes Vučević good luck and many victories as the president of the Serbian Progressive Party.

"The anger in the other part of Serbia grows every day, the likes of which I have never seen in my life. I ask people who respect me to let them go. Let them walk and do what they want. We need peace and stability and none of that. Let them go, let them think that they are a lot strong, so they can beat whoever they want, just don't get into physical conflicts with them," he added.

"Our main task is to maintain full stability. We will try to continue doing everything we have been doing. This has caused great damage to our economy. They knew exactly about it and did not do anything by accident. Let me ask you what the meaning of that 24-hour blockade is? What's the point of all this? They said we're going to shoot them with tear gas from a drone."

"Do you really believe that people are enthusiastic about the roast pigs on Autokomanda? Do you think that is their future? They don't care about the ratings because they are in the league without any worries. They really don't care how many votes they will have because they know that the people will never love them", he said about the opposition and asked them why they won't take part in the elections.

He added that he will defeat his opponents in any election, but that it is important to avoid conflicts and maintain peace and stability.
