Vučić announced the name of the Prime Minister designate

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has announced, as he had previously said, the name of the Prime Minister designate of the new Government of Serbia.

As the President of Serbia confirmed, it will be Miloš Vucevic.

"On the basis of Article 112, paragraph 1, item 3 and Article 127, paragraph 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia ('Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia', number 98/2006), Article 18 and Article 24, paragraph 3 of the Law on the President of the Republic ('Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia', number 111/07), and after hearing the opinion of the representatives of the selected electoral lists, I issue: Decision on the proposal of a candidate for the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia.

„I propose to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Milos Vucevic as a candidate for the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia,“ Vucic wrote on Instagram.


As stated in the Decision, which was signed by the President of the Republic, Vucevic has so far „performed the responsible and demanding functions of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, thus demonstrating that he possesses the dedication and expertise required to perform the duties of Prime Minister“.
