Vučić: There is no union calling for a strike; "Everything requested has been fulfilled"

When it comes to the beginning of the second school semester in Serbia, Vučić says that there is no union calling for a strike.

"All four representative unions have signed an agreement with the government. Everything that was requested has been fulfilled," he said and reminded of the salary increase for educators.

He says that there are unrepresentative unions and they did not participate in the conversation, nor are they interested.

"These are political activists. The vast majority of schools were open today," he said.

Those who go on a complete suspension of work know that they are working against the law, he said.

"None of those people care about the kids," he said.

He reiterates that he will not be happy until all children go to school because "nobody can take away their knowledge".

"Children's place is in school. It will be resolved, this alone showed us the enormous degree of irresponsibility of a small part of educational workers", he said and pointed to the atmosphere created by pressure groups.

Speaking about Trump's sudden moves, Vučić said that he was not surprised and that he believed that he had everything prepared.

"Trump's announcement of changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico causes not always the best emotions among our and Mexican friends," says Vučić.

He says that a huge contribution to libertarian countries would be the abolition of financing of "those who work around the world".

"What is important is to establish an office that will deal with American financing of NGOs in the world," he said.

"We will try to get in touch with the highest US officials as soon as possible," he said.

He reminded that today Trump has talks with representatives of the Republicans and they have the majority in both chambers.

"He can change that. We will get in touch with them and talk," said Vučić about the NIS sanctions. However, he pointed out that he expects that one of Trump's associates will deal with it.

He says that we will look to talk and engage law firms close to the Americans, in order to make contacts.

"There will be enough oil, gasoline and all derivatives," he promises.

He says that there is a part of countries in Europe that strongly lobbies against Serbia, and in favor of Pristina (Baltic countries, Holland, Bulgaria, Croatia, always backed by one big power that pretends to be naive).

"We trust in the strength of the American argument and that we will talk with the Americans," he said.
