The delegation of Serbia is angry: The responsibility also lies with the EU
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petković, said today that the terror of Pristina calls into question the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, and that the responsibility also lies with the European Union.
"I came with the Belgrade delegation with the intention of solving the issue of missing persons today, while Kurti and Pristina chose the path of violence and unilateral moves. This kind of terror calls dialogue itself into question. It is clear that Kurti is not the only one to blame for this. The responsibility also lies with to the European Union," wrote Petković on X platform.
The first meeting of the Joint Commission of Belgrade and Pristina for missing persons was supposed to be held in Brussels today.
Petkovic stated that the Pristina negotiator Besnik Bislimi did not appear.
"In Brussels, I was greeted by the news of Kurti's attack on Serbian institutions on a huge scale. The violent closure of a large number of our municipalities, centers for social work, and the post office is underway. It is clear why Bislimi did not appear in Brussels today," wrote Petković on X.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, announced today that 10 "parallel Serbian institutions" in Lipljan, Obilić, Priština, Kosovo Polje, Vučitrn, Novo Brdo, Kamenica, Vitina, Orahovac, Srbica were closed by a joint action with the police and other ministries, as well as offices of the Post of Serbia and tax offices.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Djurić, assessed that today's coordinated actions of Albin Kurti's government in Kosovo represent a "dangerous escalation" and an obvious attempt to undermine the collective rights and identity of Serbs in Kosovo, and called on the international community to act immediately and not turn a blind eye to these phenomena.
