President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is in Brussels, where he is participating in the summit of the European People's Party - Western Balkans.
As previously announced, Aleksandar Vučić will meet with numerous European leaders today in Brussels.
Meeting with Manfred Weber
Vučić met with the president of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, in Brussels, ahead of the start of the European People's Party - Western Balkans summit.
Vučić spoke from Brussels: I believe that I will have the opportunity to talk with the Americans
"The European People's Party is the largest people's party in the EP, the party of which I am a member, the SNS belongs to the group of European people's parties and we will discuss all issues today. There will be several bilaterals, with the Vice President of the Italian government, Antonio Tajani," Vučić said.
He added that it is always important to hear what they think and what is important for the future of Europe. He said that it is important for Serbia to present its positions.
"I believe that we will have the opportunity to talk with the Americans as well. Then with Manfred Weber, the head of the EPP, which is extremely important for us," said Vučić.
He stated that it is always important to hear what they think and how they perceive the future of Europe.
"We are looking to work, and once again I congratulate Saint Nicholas to all who celebrate today, and we need to push the country forward," said Vučić.
He pointed out that among the most important politicians in Brussels today are Donald Tusk from Poland and Kyriakos Mitsotakis from Greece, "as our friends".
He reminded that Mitsotakis sent a letter to obtain Cluster 3 for Serbia, before any written procedure. He thanked Karl Nehammer, who also supported this procedure as Chancellor of Austria, and that this is a good opportunity to strengthen friendships.
Let's recall that Vučić said last night that after the plenary meeting of the leaders of the EU and the Western Balkans last night, Serbia expects to become part of the single European payment area SEPA in January or February, as well as the opening of Cluster 3 at the end of January, and at the latest at the beginning of February.
"We expect to receive financial support from the growth agenda in the next three or four days. The rest of that first part during the month of January," Vučić told reporters in Brussels.
