Albanians on Tik Tok are calling for damaging Serbian monuments
The editors of the "Kingdom of Dardania" Tik-Tok account called on their Albanian followers to desecrate the monument to Miloš Obilić in the center of Gračanica and Prince Lazar in North Mitrovica, reports Dukagjini.
The call to violence was published two days after the attack on the Ibar-Lepenac water canal and attracted the attention of many Tik Tok users.
The call to desecrate the monument to Miloš Obilić in the center of Gračanica received 100,000 views, 334 comments and over 2,600 likes.
Many who commented expressed their willingness to join the invitation, and it is not yet known who is behind the mentioned page.
Another post calling for an attack on the monument to Prince Lazar also attracted a lot of attention.
Former police investigator Murat Mehmeti calls these invitation to violence dangerous and calls for caution.
"Usually interest groups, criminal political groups, in order to come to power or to return the favors they had before, manipulate the masses... They always have an interest in using non-residents to cause social discontent, expression, demonstrations or acts of vandalism," Mehmeti emphasized.
Researchers from organizations for the regulation of information in the digital space also call for caution.
"On Tik Tok, there is no control over who opens the page and who publishes the content. One should be careful, various dangerous contents are published on Tik Tok, but it is not known who is behind them," stated the organization Hultumtues in Hibrid.
The page, which has 640,000 likes, was created in August 2023 and started publishing content from comedy series, then intensified the posts the day after the terrorist attack in Banjska, combining content related to politics, KSB, police and KLA.
