Vučić: "I expect new resignations as soon as tomorrow"; "We must not stop the country and its development"

"First of all, on the occasion of the tragedy, I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims, to say that the state, even though I know how inappropriate it sounds, will help as much as possible. I expect new resignations from the Government as well as from other places tomorrow, and I am sure that the prosecution will take measures as soon as possible. Responsibility cannot be avoided. Fifteen people died not because of their own fault, but because someone did not do their job properly and in accordance with the law," said Vučić.

President of Serbia pointed out that the fact that some have managed to stop Serbia partially, through pressure and fear, will also pose a problem for us.

"It's about the fact that today you can't get the signature of any state body for anything. Not even the reconstruction of the underpass, not a single act, nobody wants to be responsible. Today, all of us, including myself, like beasts participate in a blood-seeking campaign," he stated.

President of Serbia pointed out that many people do not understand that it is necessary to have faith in the state, but not to engage in harassment and harangue.

"In the health centers, people want us to tear down the canopies and demolish everything. When are we going to open the Belgrade-Subotica railway line? Will we be able to open it on the eighth? What will it look like tomorrow anywhere? Which bridge will we reconstruct? Who will build it? Shall we abandon all projects?" Vucic asked.

As he stated, it is not the prosecutors who determine who is guilty, but the courts.

"I will do my best until the end of my mandate to try to fight against the devil in my ears when I listen to people who were once intimidated, most often angry, while trying to take on greater responsibility if necessary for the country to move forward," said Vučić.

"We must not stop the country and its development. I will do my best to raise the goals, not reduce them," said the President of Serbia.

President of Serbia stated that due to the current situation in Novi Sad, special reinforcements will have to be made for the National Stadium, special piles, because no one wants to sign something now without additional insurance.

President of Serbia also spoke about the war in Ukraine.

"Despite all the attacks, we managed to endure without any change of attitude, I believe that we had the most responsible policy. Today, it is important to discuss the truce and peace, because this only leads us to a world catastrophe, just as I unfortunately predicted. Today is rockets targeting the Bryansk region, the firing of Russian ammunition will continue. Every next step leads us to a nuclear conflict," said Vučić.

Vučić pointed out that if the security of Moscow and Putin's forces is threatened, if there is no way out, Russian president will not hesitate.

"We are completely unprepared at the moment, we have 257,000 places in shelters. We need to restore the infrastructure to reach the number of around one and a half million people who can go to shelters," said Vučić.

President of Serbia stated that, due to the events in Novi Sad, the high-speed railway to Subotica will be "opened without parade".

"When we talk about sovereignty, the Army has strengthened significantly, we have strengthened the state of our equipment in the number of helicopters, in the number of missiles, drones, air force," said Vučić.

Vučić spoke about waiting lists in our hospitals.

"We reduced the waiting lists, we had overtime, we were able to pull it off," he said.

When it comes to universities and education, President of Serbia stated that the idea is to introduce competition in education with the permission of renowned universities, which our young people normally attend abroad.

Vučić also spoke about the Russian president's inviting him to come to Moscow.

"It would be a great honor for me to be on the Red Square on the 80th anniversary of the liberation from fascism. I am proud of the fight against fascism in which the Serbian people participated, who were the only ones, along with the Greek people, to fight against fascism from the beginning. The ninth of May is far away and I thank President Putin for the invitation".

If there is an intensification of the conflict, Vučić states that we will protect Serbia and that we will not interfere.

"We are a neutral country and we pay dearly for our neutrality. That's why we allocate a lot for our army. We acquire the best possible tools in the world," claims Vučić.

He says it's time to "take cover" and protect the fertile base of our people, our people and the future of our country.

President of Serbia also asked "which big beasts the regime is protecting".

"Resignations will be submitted by people although it is questionable whether they have anything to do with it. I am worried that innocent people will be arrested in our pursuit of the perpetrators, because the Prosecutor's Office is also afraid of the pursuit of them, but I will not interfere with their work and I will not criticize or praise them. Everyone around me are asking me to arrest them, until someone comes to arrest them. They don't care if the Prosecutor's Office arrests innocent persons," he said.

He says that he is afraid of his own failure and that he is racing with himself, not with the opposition.

"They are behind in the race by two laps, a lap and a half, if you give them jet engines they can't catch up with me! Should I be afraid of them? Should I be afraid of the one who was convicted of stealing 1,300,000 euros or the one who voted from Thessaloniki? He preaches to me about democracy. They are funny in every sense".

"I will never leave this country because I dedicated my whole life to my country without rest, without taking a normal breath, and I fought for its reputation in every country on this globe. And Serbia today has more friends than ever," Vučić said.

He says that our position is clear with regard to Kosovo and Metohija and I adhere to respect for the Constitution of Serbia and the UN Charter.

Vučić points out that the permission to Kyiv to use American weapons for strikes deep into Russian territory added fuel to the fire and he is not sure that any peace proposal can pass.

"Neither Volodymyr (Zelensky) can renounce his integrity and his Constitution, nor can Putin renounce his Constitution. Everyone will go with maximalist demands, and then things always end in disaster," said Vučić.

Vučić states that neither side must lose, but neither side assumes that the other side must not lose either.
