Vučić pointed out in front of 46 leaders that it was not easy for him to speak after the previous speeches.

"I think we should talk about strategic issues," emphasized Aleksandar Vučić, who was among the six main speakers at the opening of the summit.

He mentioned that the accession of Romania, Bulgaria and some other countries into the EU was a political decision.

"It was a political decision made by the EU at a time when there were strategic decisions and people who thought strategically. We see it that way. You say - okay, some countries are doing better. And, the economy of Serbia is the strongest economy according to all criteria in the Western Balkans. Yes, but we don't need Serbia. Because they didn't impose sanctions on Russia or for any other reason, they didn't solve some of their problems," said Vučić.

He added that Serbia is not the only one with problems and that it did not create all its problems by itself.

He said that Serbia remains on the European path and that it is a loyal partner of the EU, as well as that Europe needs a strategic conversation in the new circumstances.

He thanked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for being the only one from the Western Balkans to speak, which was not the case at the last summit, because no one from the Western Balkans had the opportunity to speak.

"It is not easy for me to express a different opinion on all issues, but I will do my best to be as honest as possible in these circumstances. I believe that, instead of repeating and reiterating the same messages, we need a real strategic conversation between all of us who are sitting here and some others countries", said the President of Serbia.

He added that the world has changed and will continue to change, but that we in Europe are still living in the past, not accepting it and repeating the same platitudes as we used to in the past.
