It has begun; The first results have arrived - betrayal
Americans are going to the polls today to elect a new, 47th president of the USA. Members of Congress, who play a key role in passing laws, are also voted for.
This is the 60th presidential election in a row, and it is being held together with elections for all seats in the House of Representatives, and 33 seats in the Senate.
This year, US citizens will choose between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump, and the winner will serve four years in the White House, starting on January 20, 2025.
The key is Pennsylvania?
Assistant professor of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Stevan Nedeljković, estimated that the candidate who wins in the American state of Pennsylvania in the upcoming presidential elections will ultimately win those elections.
Nedeljković told Tanjug that, according to public opinion polls, the Republican candidate Donald Trump has a better chance of winning the upcoming elections, but he added that the polls had previously been able to deceive.

First predictions
Polls say the fight is close, but the winner could be convincing
Pollsters adjust their raw data based on assumptions about who will actually go to the polls, who will stay at home and whether the information collected will accurately reflect the general voting public, writes the BBC.
The outcome of those assumptions can dramatically change poll results - and that's without taking into account that every poll has a basic statistical "marginal error."
Polls in this presidential race – especially in key, hotly contested states – show a statistically tied situation that is within the margin of error, even without accounting for the pollster's choice of how to adjust the results.
This means that, at least according to the polls, it is basically impossible to say that one or the other candidate has a better chance of winning. But it also does not mean that, when it's all over, there won't be a clear winner, because all the breakaway states can prevail in favor of one candidate - which, in fact, often happens.
It has begun and the results are in; The first "betrayal"
The presidential elections in the USA began with voting in Dixville Night in New Hampshire, where the polls opened at midnight on the east coast of the USA (six o'clock in the morning in Serbia).
CNN reports that Donald Trump and Kamala Harris received three votes each. In Ditchville Night, four registered voters of the Republican Party and two undecideds went to the polls, which means that one of the Republicans opted for Kamala instead of Trump.
