Vučić said: "We want brotherly politics"; "I believe I won't have to repeat..."

President Vučić stated at the beginning of his speech that we perceive Hungary not only as a strategic partner but also as a sincere friend.

He added that he is very happy that today he has the opportunity to host the Hungarian president Tamás Sulyok in Belgrade.

"And not only in Belgrade, we will also go to Čurug and Žabalj today after the joint lunch. The relations between Serbia and Hungary are at the highest level during our difficult history. I am grateful to the Hungarian leaders, President Ader, Viktor Orban above all and the previous president Katalin Novak, and the respected President Tamás Sulyok for always sincerely advocating for good, open and friendly relations with Serbia," said Vučić in his address at the Palace of Serbia.

He emphasized that the Hungarian people and Hungary as a country enjoy great popularity in Serbia.

"I would say that we perceive the Hungarian people as sincere friends. And all that we will do together today, I believe will be another link in the chain of our even stronger and stronger friendship. We also have numerous common interests. With thanks for the support on our European path, I would like to say that the economy is what confirms our political ties in the best possible way," Vučić emphasized.

President of Serbia emphasized that the Vojvodina Hungarians have a special role in the relations between Serbia and Hungary, and he especially thanked the President of the Association of Vojvodina Hungarians, Balint Pastor, who attended today's talks with the Hungarian President.

"Serbia wants a policy of respect, mutual respect and friendship, as well as fraternal relations, and I believe that there will never be a situation where I repeat that a Hungarian sign should be placed on the railway station. For us, SVM is a bridge of friendship and brotherhood with Hungary. That's how it was and will be", pointed out Vučić.

Hungarian President stated that his country will do everything to ensure that Serbia becomes a full member of the EU as soon as possible.

Let's recall that President of Hungary arrived in Serbia on Sunday evening, and this morning he was given a ceremonial welcome in front of the Palace of Serbia.
