According to the visit agenda, Vučić and Von der Leyen will visit the HTEC group today at 1 p.m. and attend the presentation of projects financed through IPA projects and the EBRD, the Presidency announced.

At 1:35 p.m., a welcoming ceremony is planned in front of the "Serbia" Palace, which will be followed by a tete-a-tete conversation between Vučić and the President of the European Commission.

After that, plenary talks of the delegations of the Republic of Serbia and the European Union will be held, led by Vučić and Von der Leyen, followed by their statements to the media.

Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, will meet with Von der Leyen at 3:30 p.m. in the "Serbia" Palace.

It was previously announced from Brussels that Von der Leyen's visit to the Western Balkans takes place in the important context of enlargement, and that the focus will be on the enlargement process and growth plans, which are of key importance for partners from the Western Balkans.

Before the arrival of the President of the EC, Vučić said that Von der Leyen comes with a new package, with new ideas and with new things, and that he is grateful to her because whenever she stayed in Serbia, she also went inland and showed that this is significant.

On July 18, von der Leyen was re-elected president of the European Commission, when she announced that EU enlargement would be among the key priorities of her mandate.

In September, she organized a meeting in Brussels for leaders from the Western Balkans, which was also attended by Vučić.

Von Der Leyen last visited Serbia in October last year, and before that in 2022. This is her fourth visit to the Western Balkans, which she started on Wednesday in Tirana.

Today she is staying in North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and after Belgrade, she plans to visit Pristina and Montenegro.
