The trial of the former leaders of the so-called KLA in The Hague
Before the Special Court in The Hague, the trial of the former leaders of the so-called KLA Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, who are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The 96th prosecution witness, a former member of the so-called KLA Fadil Geci, who has started testifying yesterday, should continue giving his testimony today.
Geci also held various positions in the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), and the prosecution stated that he will testify about the founding of the LDK, its structure and membership, as well as the relations between the so-called KLA and LDK, including threats and attacks by members of the so-called KLA on LDK members.
The trial of the former leaders of the so-called KLA began on April 3, 2023, and the indictment charges them with war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in illegal detentions, the so-called KLA in Kosovo and Albania.
During 1998 and 1999, the KLA committed numerous crimes, murders and kidnappings against members of the army and police of the former Yugoslavia, Serbs and other non-Albanians, as well as Albanians who did not accept to be its helpers or members.
