Vučić was welcomed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

The conference, which is being held for the first time, was opened by Scholz, and the President of the World Bank, Ajay Banga, the President of Namibia, Nangolo Mbumba, and the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley, will also speak on the first panel.

Heads of state, representatives of the private sector, the academic community, civil society and international organizations are participating in the meeting.

Tomorrow, Vučić will speak on the panel "Negotiations on a new alliance - a responsible and circular battery supply chain".

The Hamburg Conference on Sustainability, at a time of growing geopolitical crises, promotes multilateral exchange, encourages open dialogue and aims to strengthen the role and trust in international partnerships.

During the two days of the conference, numerous discussions are planned, which are focused on the design of political frameworks for joint action and the creation of breakthroughs for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

The Hamburg Sustainability Conference specifically aims to strengthen the role and responsibility of the private sector in new sustainability alliances.

Moreover, the Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The Hamburg Conference on Sustainability was created as an initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the United Nations Development Programme, the Michael Otto Foundation and the city of Hamburg.
