Vučić spoke from New York: "I spoke as the president of a small, proud country; Europe needs peace"
President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, spoke from New York.
"I spoke with more than 25 heads of state and prime ministers, with more than 20 ministers of foreign affairs, I attended numerous meetings where neither of them were present, many of the most powerful people in the world attended, the owner of Tiffany, and essentially the son of the richest man in the world. .. It's important for us because of the arrival of Louis Vuitton," he said.
"I had a short meeting with Elon Musk, today I will meet with Netanyahu. I found out that the talks of great leaders took place here, everyone wants at any cost, the Western world wants peace. That is good news for us. I am not sure that Netanyahu wants to take advantage of the opportunity, the cards have been lined up for him, so when you look at it from his side, he does not know who will be the president in the USA and he is trying to solve the issue of Israel in the long term," he pointed out.
"I think the world, as I said three months ago, is slowly heating up and everything is heading towards a perfect storm. I hope that the Americans, I hope and I want them to use all their capital and influence to stop the souk in the Middle East and that they will try to stop the strife in Ukraine and Russia. Europe needs peace the most," said Vučić.
"Now you have the big fight between the US and China in artificial intelligence, and that is now the key battle. For the big ones, the key question is who will be the winner in the era of artificial intelligence. They think that America has a 5-year lead, while others think that China has the eye of the tiger. There is a battle going on who will have the key advantage in the next 100 years. It will literally change everything," he pointed out.
"It will lead us to the point that in 10 years, cancer will be treated, and airplanes will be opened with lasers. Changes will follow, and we should be ready for that. There are only two superpowers - the USA and China, and it's a big fight," he said.
"The war must end in order for Europe to devote itself to its development. Our land is desolate, just like everyone else's," he added.
"If Kamala Harris wins, I think that she will have an even stronger hawkish approach to China than Trump and that her policy will differ from Biden's, no matter how you look at it, he led in one part a kind of détente policy towards China, knowing that the economic reckoning is yet to come. Peace in the Middle East is in the interest of the whole West, but I don't know whose interest it is in Europe, and it is certainly in the interest of Europe. Both sides, Russian and Ukrainian, are exhausted, the Ukrainian side is in a somewhat more difficult position," said Vučić.
"People came up to say that they had never heard a speech like the one I gave and that they agreed that this was the core of the problem. When I spoke with Klitschko, the Russians came up and said the same thing. It is rare that someone is allowed to say what we said, I did not say what I think and feel, I stated the facts, but I spoke from the soul of the Serbian people. I did not speak badly of anyone, I did not use the opportunity to make fun of anyone, like Denis Bećirović, I said what I thought is the cause of the problem," he pointed out.
"The main problem is that people from the West, they consider themselves gods, they are not able to say sorry, even if they say 'we wouldn't act like that today', even if it would be easier for us in our hearts, but that would not change our policy," he added.
Vučić points out that Kamala Harris will get more votes at the national level.
"On the national level, Kamala Harris will get more votes, but that is not the question. The question is what is the situation in the 'swing states'. If Kamala Harris, as estimated from the most powerful, in the total number of votes wins with 4 percent, she would become president. And a 3 percent loss could give Trump a win, so it's hard to judge who could win. All the states and businessmen have to play both cards. We're already looking at who could be on the Trump and Harris team, but we are small," he points out.
"You have the third and fourth revolutions, we must understand that we must urgently board the fourth carriage of the same train, if in the first and second are America and China, in the third are developed countries. If we do not understand that, we will have to be much more dedicated to the development of science, technology, and innovation, and I can't listen to whining anymore," says Vučić.
On the comments that he "played Tito" at the speech at the UN, Vučić says: "And what else can they say... I wrote the speech myself, I thank them for comparing my brain to artificial intelligence. When you have nothing to do, you say 'the hall is empty', it's never full for me. People certainly read it afterwards. When Pedro Sánchez spoke, I was the only one present among the heads of state and government.
"I did not pretend to be anyone, I spoke as the president of a small, proud country, which has its own attitude and which is struggling with a problem that is partly imposed, and partly its own fault. Not to talk about the lies with which we deceived ourselves until the declaration of Kosovo's independence. Today we live in reality, we don't want conflicts, we don't want wars, we know that they cheated with the Brussels agreement, we proved to be tough regardless, we will continue to fight for our country, I don't have the energy to talk about my opponents, they use every opportunity to say something, mostly short, stupid, untrue..." he added.
He also referred to lithium.
"They said that I must not come to the session of the Assembly on lithium, they say that it is a violation of the constitution. I am always ready to come, I am afraid that they will not invite me any time soon," he said.
"Everyone is making receptions. Tonight I will have an important meeting with the most important US representatives, I expect very important talks with Guterres, Mitsotakis..." he added and announced that he expects a big visit around October 5.
