Although in Brussels they know which side is blocking progress in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, no one will say so publicly, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

"The European Union and the Americans agree with us on this," Vučić told the Brussels portal Politico.

The text states that Vučić recently called for the re-holding of elections in four municipalities in the north of AP KiM with a Serbian population and adds that, despite the absence of an obvious democratic mandate, Prime Minister of the temporary institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, "encouraged" Albanian politicians to take administrative positions, buildings and premises and that he sent members of the so-called Kosovo Police, which led to a crisis and "stirring passions on both sides".

To the accusations of the prime minister of the temporary institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, that he is implementing "unreasonable and desperate" measures, as well as leading an "aggressive campaign", President Vučić replied:

"If it is unreasonable and aggressive to have democratic elections, then fine, thank you very much."

President of Serbia pointed out that he has no interest in "fanning the fire". "I don't want to participate in an anti-Kurti campaign or an ad hominem campaign against anyone," said Vučić.

He assessed that the impression is that the authorities in Pristina are "obsessed" with him.

"If you read what they say every day, you just see - Vučić, Vučić, Vučić", said the Serbian president.

Politico reminds that earlier this week a trilateral meeting of the main negotiating teams of Belgrade and Pristina was supposed to be held with the mediation of the EU's special envoy for dialogue Miroslav Lajčak, but that it did not take place, and that on Thursday the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, held a working lunch with the leaders of the countries of the Western Balkans, at which both Vučić and Kurti were present, but at which the two did not talk.

"We don't have any relationship at all," Vucic told Politico. The text states that Serbia supports the Serbian population in AP KiM, primarily in the field of health and education. It is added that during the past month, the authorities in Pristina have repeatedly sent members of the so-called Kosovo Police to close and occupy the premises of Serbian institutions in majority-Serb settlements, that is, in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, Zubin Potok and Leposavic.

Those moves by Pristina, as it is added, caused protests and alleges that the Pristina authorities intend to carry out ethnic cleansing of Serbs from the area where they are the majority.

Belgrade insists that Pristina should respect the existing agreements, including the obligations from the Brussels Agreement, which relate to the establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, according to Politico.
