"We talked about the plans of the new European Commission, whose mandate expires in five years. I don't like to talk about who said what, what is important for us, I believe that we will manage to jump on that train. We also talked about green corridors," said Vučić.

"We talked strategically about the European path. Soon the president of the EC will visit the region and Belgrade. We will probably see each other in New York. I have great respect for her. I think that only one country did not come with fulfilled criteria, on the other hand, one entity did not comply with CEFTA rules", Vucic added.

"About one billion and 580 million have been earmarked for us. Big and important things for us, but more important are all these reforms we talked about," the president added.

"We want an open Western Balkans, we want the borders to open. The reaction of the president of one of the entities was that probably Serb terrorists are climbing into the trucks where goods with milk are going, so they are going to endanger them," said Vučić and emphasized that he believed that the first money arrive in late October, early November.

About the writing of the opposition media, Vučić says: "Yesterday, the same people accused me of being a traitor, now they are asking me to recognize independent Kosovo. You are engaged in this work for the benefit of your people. It does not occur to me to flatter someone on a daily basis," he pointed out.

Vučić previously pointed out that Serbia remains committed to its European path. Upon his arrival in Brussels, he met with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, and on that occasion informed him about the worrying situation in Kosovo and requested a more active engagement of European institutions in protecting the rights of the Serbian people.

"A good and open conversation with a sincere friend of Serbia, Commissioner Várhelyi, about the progress of our country in the process of accession negotiations with the EU, the implementation of the Reform Agenda and the implementation of the European Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. I reiterated that Serbia, fundamentally and technically, is ready for new steps in the direction rapprochement and membership in the EU, especially when it comes to the rule of law, economic and social integration, and thanked the EC for its support along the way," Vučić said on Instagram.

He attended the working lunch organized by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, for the leaders of the Western Balkans.
