President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is participating in a working lunch organized by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, for leaders from the Western Balkans.

"An important meeting in Brussels, at the invitation of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, where we will discuss, primarily, the European Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, the implementation of individual reform agendas, the plans of the new Commission when it comes to the enlargement process, as well as the overall situation in the region.

Our country remains committed to its European path and internal reforms with the aim of joining the EU, but in the first place, the better life of our citizens, economic growth and development of the country is important to us.

That's why we will continue to insist on concrete steps towards EU convergence, such as access to the single European market and payment system, the introduction of green corridors, further attraction of direct investments, as well as a change in the overall economic and political atmosphere in the region, because for any progress we need peace, stability and cooperation," Vučić said on Instagram.
