Brnabić, hosted on Pink television's morning program, said that she could not understand why some media wrote that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was guilty of the arrests of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.

"It is extremely important for me to underline that I do not think that any Serb at any time was at a greater threat in Kosovo than Albin Kurti. The most important issue for us is the issue of Kosovo. And are they (Serbs from Kosovo) to blame for Kurti's rampage? They are not and they say that it is Vucic's fault that Kurti is arresting Serbs in Kosovo. That is not the case," emphasized Brnabić.

She stated that Kosovo was never an issue for the opposition or the former government, adding that in 2001 they released the terrorists from prison, and then in 2004 they allowed the pogrom of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the burning of churches and monasteries.

Brnabić added that the separation of Montenegro in 2006 was a prerequisite for the so-called Kosovo declared independence, and the country then acted as if it was relieved.

As she said, only five years after Pristina declared independence in 2008, the issue of Kosovo and Metohija returned to the agenda, when SNS came to power.

She stated that all major Western powers, before the SNS came to power, recognized the independence of the so-called Kosovo and transferred the issue to the EU, while the authorities in the meantime set a border "between Serbs and Serbs".

"It wasn't until 2014 that Aleksandar Vučić became prime minister and then president, so the fight began and states began to withdraw their recognition," said Brnabić.
