The company Linglong International Europe opens a car tire factory in Zrenjana.

The construction of the Chinese Shangdong Linglong factory in Zrenjanin, which began on March 30, 2019, as it was said at the time, will employ 1,200 workers and produce 13 million tires annually.

The value of the investment is more than one billion dollars. The factory covers an area of ​​130 hectares.

Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, said earlier that 900 workers are expected to be employed in the first phase.

The factory in Zrenjanin started production last year, with a plan of almost 14 million tires of various types of tires per year. Last year, Linglong's net profit was $195.1 million, and the company's operating income reached $2.8 billion.

The Linglong company sells tires in more than 180 countries. Linglong has five factories in China and another in Thailand and has produced 79 million tires in 2023.

Shandong Linglong Tire Company was founded in 1975 and specializes in the production of large-scale, high-performance tires.

It is China's leading tire company, with production bases in several cities in China as well as in Thailand. The company has research centers in North America, China and one in Germany, and Serbia will also have one such center.

Shangdong Linglong is the winner of the biggest awards, such as the "Industry Oscar" in China, and in 2015, it also received the second state award for technological inventions.
