"The situation in Kosovo and Metohija has never been worse"

"The fact is the following, if there is no security for Serbs, there will be no Serbs in Kosovo... People are leaving, economically disadvantaged people are leaving, because they don't know what awaits them tomorrow," said Simić in a guest appearance on RTS.

He said that "the state must take a clear and sharp position", that it is necessary to strengthen security and economic and financial assistance for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.

''We are faced with a situation where there are no products from central Serbia, and the prices that the population in the north of Kosovo and Metohija pay for lower-quality products from the region are almost twice as high'', said Simić.

He said that Serbs have no confidence in EULEX because they have never done anything to protect Serbs.

Simić pointed out that "every day things are getting worse" in Kosovo, that these are the consequences of the system plan of the interim authorities in Pristina for the ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Kosovo.

"The situation has never been worse, I was born in Kosovo and Metohija, I have been in politics for 12 years and I most responsibly claim that Serbs live in a situation similar to apartheid," Simić pointed out.

He pointed out that there are no "individual incidents" in Kosovo, but Pristina is implementing a "systemic plan and institutional violence, which ultimately results in ethnic cleansing."

"The time for anemic statements by the international community has passed," Simić pointed out and noted that KFOR has 8,000 members in the province and EULEX has several hundred, and that there is a way to react to the violence of the temporary Pristina institutions.
