Vučić posed three key questions to Rio Tinto: Water, landfills and sulfuric acid - explain

President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is talking to the citizens of Ljubovija, and during the conversation he asked key questions to the representatives of RioTinto, who is also present at this meeting with the locals.

"We are now in 2024. We looked at the analysis and meeting of Rio Tinto's shareholders in Brisbane this year. Again, the key issue is Jadar and the water issue, so please give us a more serious answer on how we are going to solve the safety, purity of our waters, that there will be no overflow from underground water into the Jadar, from the Jadar into the Drina, from the Drina into the Danube," said Vučić.

"The third issue is sulfuric acid and safety," he said and asked about the agricultural land of people near the mine.
