Vučić in Podrinje: Citizens get three roads and a fast road to Loznica PHOTO

The work on the section from Bojić to Tekeriš, 15.6 kilometers long, on the Šabac - Tekeriš road, is being visited with Vučić by the Minister of Transport, Construction and Infrastructure Goran Vesić, the director of the "Corridor of Serbia" Aleksandar Antić and the mayor of Šabac Aleksandar Pajić.

The deadline for the completion of the works is 120 days, and the value of the works is 676.8 million dinars.

Vučić pointed out that the expressway will be built by October at the latest. He added that the citizens in that area will get three roads, as well as the Šabac - Loznica expressway.

"We built three parallel roads plus a high-speed highway, all of them are important roads. They are also important because of Cer, where the road was horrible, but now it is very beautiful, these three kilometers have been done," said Vučić.

He said that one road goes through Majur and Slepčević, Duvanište and other villages to Loznica, another from Bogosavac, Radovašnica... and a third road that goes to Zavlaka and Korenita.

He emphasized that it is important for the people who live there and expressed the expectation that our people who live abroad will start coming back to live there.

"When they see the new asphalt, I believe that some of them will come back here to live," said Vučić.

Vučić also touched on the topic of energy.

"This summer we used more energy than during the winter. It is important that our diesel does not cost more than 201-202 dinars. In 8-9 years, we will lack electricity. We are mining less and less coal. We have to find new sources of energy. To have systems, power plants , hydropower plants...", he stated.

"The road is life for people. Wherever you go and ask, they will tell you the same thing, that the road is the most important. We are opening the Šabac-Loznica road", said Vučić during a tour of the road works.

By the way, the complete section Šabac - Tekeriš is 27.44 kilometers long, and the estimated value of the reconstruction is one billion dinars, or about 8.5 million euros.

This section is of exceptional importance for the Mačva district, because it connects the memorial complex of the Battle of Cer on Tekeriš with Šabac. Nearby is the Church of the Holy Trinity in the village of Cernica, which was built in memory of King Alexander I Karadjordjević, as well as three important monasteries - Čokešina Monastery, Radovašnica Monastery and Petkovica Monastery.

Moreover, in the vicinity of this section is the town of Trajan, as well as the Elementary School "Dositej Obradović" in Volujac.

This section connects the road Loznica - Šabac, with the road Loznica - Osečina - Valjevo. It directly connects Šabac, via the village of Zavlaka, with the municipality of Krupanj, and passes through Šabac, Jevremovac, Varna, Slatina, Bojići, Sinoševići, Volujac and Tekeriš.

The route has 33 tubular and plate culverts with a length of 483 meters and three bridges with a total length of 26 meters, as well as 19 bus stops along the route.

The road construction is in a very bad condition, and considering that the realization of the entire project is not possible, the realization of the part of the road Bojići - Tekeriš has been started.

The works will include scraping the asphalt pavement, demolishing curbs, excavation of the road structure with the creation of crushed stone buffers, two layers of asphalt and installation of curbs with drainage, as well as the construction of tubular culverts from concrete pipes, excavation of road ditches and installation of concrete.

The works are financed by the Public Company "Roads of Serbia", and carried out by the company "Valjevo" Joint Stock Company.
