Vučić travels to London: The largest gathering of European leaders is scheduled; Urgent issues on the table
President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, will attend the Summit of European Political Community on Thursday, to be held in Blenheim Palace (W. Churchill's birthplace) near London, which will be the largest gathering of European leaders recently.
During the summit, President Vučić will meet with numerous officials, participants of the summit.
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer will host around 45 leaders from EU countries, candidates for membership and other countries bordering the EU at the Summit.
Starmer said that this meeting will mark the moment when he will restart Britain's relations with Europe, after his convincing victory in the election on July 4 this year.
More than 45 leaders will attend the event "to discuss some of the most pressing generational issues facing Europe, from the war in Ukraine, to illegal migration and security cooperation."
The meeting within the European Political Community Summit will provide leaders with a unique opportunity to discuss and use this moment to concretize and implement measures regarding issues of common importance.
For the first time, the EPC summit will also be attended by representatives of NATO, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the Council of Europe, "thus demonstrating the importance of unity in response to conflicts and instability within and near European borders, which affect the interests of the United Kingdom and the European continent alike".
The European political community, as an idea, came from French President Emmanuel Macron, who sought to create a wider circle of European allies in various spheres.
